Rough carpentry, such as wood and metal stud framing, impacts the structural elements of a project, including the walls and roof. This wood won’t show once the job is finished. But certain performance standards are still important and we make sure they are met.
Once the basic structure is completed, finish carpenters install (and sometimes customize) all the wood features that will be visible when the project is completed. This includes door frames and doors, trim and decorative moldings, baseboards, window sills, railings, shelving, and cabinets. On some projects this will include exterior features such as siding and trim.
